Season 2 of our Elementary STEM League starts February 26th, 2022. Children aged 6 to 10 take part in a variety of STEM lessons and challenges using our proven learning through play pedagogy, robotics kits, engineering kits, tablets and more. 2.5hr weekly lessons and challenges will engage students in all the STEM subjects, plus the STEM skills of collaboration, communication, scientific method, peer learning, and critical thinking at age appropriate levels.
The Elementary STEM League is a way for your child to learn essential 21st century skills while covering necessary curriculum to be successful in school. The program is fun, engaging and challenging. Our team is excellent at teaching STEM subjects at the elementary level with our learning through play methods. Most importantly, we’ll help your child learn to learn, and by the end of the program, they’ll love to learn!
GIRLS IN STEM BURSARY – We want to encourage the young ladies in our community to engage in more STEM activities and educational opportunities from an early age. This season we are offering bursaries of $100 for girls registering for the League. Email email@example.com before registering your daughter in the program to receive this application-free bursary.
The Elementary STEM League is presented by Lexus On The Park, a proud supporter of learning in our community.

Practices run weekly for 2.5hrs at our Brick Labs campus (41 Scarsdale Rd, Unit 12). Teams will practice once per week Saturdays from 9.30am to Noon. Each session will consist of mini-lessons from our STEM curriculum, team building and leadership exercises, and then experiential challenges to help them apply the lessons for deeper learning. Teams will be coached and mentored by members of the Brick Labs’ team.
FINAL CHALLENGE AND PARENT EXPO
The final challenge will be held the weekend of June 11th and 12th. At 10am on Saturday students will be presented a real-world problem to solve as a team. Over the next two days, they will apply all their learning to creatively solve the problem and prepare to demonstrate their solutions to family and friends at 1pm on Sunday. Hours for that weekend are Saturday from 10am to 3pm, and Sunday 10am to approximately 2pm.
While we are setting this up as a league and teams, it is not designed to be competitive, but a way of challenging students to be their best. We will coach and mentor them on how to be a great team member; how to effectively communicate their ideas; how to share and receive feedback; and how to be critical thinkers. We’ll help them grow their leadership abilities and learning skills. Most importantly we’ll help them to be creative, curious and confident learners in our community.
